The Witcher 3 Remastered system requirements for every PC tier, from 1080p 30 FPS on Low to 4K 60 FPS path tracing, plus storage and Windows 11.

The Witcher 3 Remastered system requirements are higher than the old game's. CD Projekt Red published six PC tiers, from 1080p at 30 FPS on Low up to 4K at 60 FPS with path tracing. Every tier needs 64-bit Windows 11 and 60 GB on an SSD; Windows 10 is no longer supported, although the game may still start on it. Find your tier below, then use the best Witcher 3 Remastered PC settings to tune it.

Storage and Windows: 60 GB SSD and Windows 11

All six tiers list 60 GB of free space on an SSD and 64-bit Windows 11. CD Projekt Red no longer supports Windows 10; the game may still start there, but fixes and support target Windows 11. Install the latest graphics driver before your first launch, as the official notes ask. On Steam, GOG and Epic the remaster installs as an update over the old game, and your saves carry over.

What the tiers mean for your PC

  • Older cards: a GTX 1660 meets the minimum. DSOGaming notes it can also hold 60 FPS at the minimum settings.
  • Ray tracing: even the entry ray tracing tier expects an upscaler, so plan on DLSS, FSR or XeSS. The upscaler mode guide says which mode fits which resolution.
  • Path tracing: only the RTX 5080 tier reaches 4K at 60 FPS, and only with frame generation.
  • Memory: the Ultra and ray tracing ultra tiers ask for 24 GB of RAM, more than most older guides suggest.
  • Below the minimum: the PS5 version or the Switch 2 version may suit you better, and both are free for owners; see the free upgrade guide.
