The Witcher 3 Remastered PS5 version comes with updated Ray Tracing and Performance modes, and on PS5 Pro it adds PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), variable refresh rate and uncapped frame rates. CD Projekt Red says PSSR is what lets the Pro run the game at a smooth 60 FPS with ray tracing on. The standard PS5 gets multithreaded rendering for better performance, and both machines get the remaster as a free upgrade for owners, PS4 owners included.

The official notes list these updated modes for PlayStation and tie the 60 FPS ray tracing result to PS5 Pro and PSSR. They do not give separate numbers for the standard PS5, so treat the targets above as Pro figures. Every console also gets the new shading model, lighting and textures listed in the Witcher 3 Remastered patch notes.
Which mode to pick on PS5 and PS5 Pro
- On PS5 Pro with a VRR TV: Performance mode can run above 60 FPS, up to 90.
- For looks: Ray Tracing mode, with PSSR keeping it at 60 FPS on the Pro.
- No VRR: either mode targets 60 FPS; pick by whether you value lighting or sharpness.

Other PlayStation changes

Xbox Series X|S owners get the same free upgrade and the same mod support, and the game is now an Xbox Play Anywhere title. The official notes have no Xbox-only graphics section, so the console changes above are the ones to expect.
Witcher 3 Remastered on PS4 and Xbox One
The remaster does not come to PS4 or Xbox One. A copy on those consoles still counts for the free upgrade on PS5 or Series X|S, and Nintendo players get the native Switch 2 version instead.
